| February 14th 2012 - Minor problems, all good now |
We experienced some technical difficulties earlier today, but everything seems to run smoothly again. |
| October 1st 2009 - Second anniversary |
Today marks finnmusic.net's second anniversary, the site has now been two years online. Even though the first two decades of Finnish punk rock is still the single most comprehensibly covered area, during this time the content of the site has somewhat diversified, and you can find lots of information on many artists in many styles, including such household names as Tuomari Nurmio, Dave Lindholm, Kauko Röyhkä, Kari Peitsamo and so on. And the site keeps growing. |
| September 15th 2009 - All clear |
(three hours later) Maintenance is over, and everything seems to be in order. Good thing too. |
| September 15th 2009 - Data maintenance! |
The site is temporarily undergoing some data maintenance, and therefore mostly unaccessible. Hopefully we can return very soon. Sorry for the inconvenience. |
| April 17th 2008 - Almost anniversary |
Finnmusic.net comes af age: the site is now 200 days old, hooray! That must be something like 25 years in internet years. But don't worry, finnmusic.net isn't going to wither away any time soon, instead it keeps growing, slowly but steadily. Pop in regularly and browse the site contents to see what's new. |
| October 12th 2007 - Book on Finnish punk rock |
An excellent book on Finnish punk rock called "Parasta lapsille - Suomipunk 1977-1984" has been published. Written (in Finnish) by Mika Saastamoinen, it goes through the late 70's and the early 80's, covering all the important bands of the early punk rock and hardcore punk of that era. It's a massive book, and a necessity for anyone interested in the subject. Get it from your local bookstore, or directly from the publisher Johnny Kniga (www.johnnykniga.fi) |
| October 1st 2007 - Site launch! |
The site is finally made public, after a long wait. Currently there are information on Finnish punk rock from the first three decades (from the 70's through the 90's), and some other entries here and there. Expect more info in the near future! |
